Passion vs Pay: What Should You Choose? 💸❤️ “Follow your passion.” Cool… but your passion probably isn’t paying rent. 😭 When you’re looking for work, don’t only ask: “What do I love?” Ask these three questions: 1. What am I actually good at? Maybe you’re good with people, computers, sales, fixing things, organising, writing or creating content. That’s a clue. 2. What skills are employers paying for? Check job adverts and see what keeps coming up. If everyone wants Excel, sales, coding, driving, customer service or digital skills, those are skills worth developing. 3. Can I make money while I figure out my passion? Absolutely. Your first job doesn’t have to be your dream job. You can take a job to earn money, gain experience and build skills while working towards something you actually want. Think of your first job as a stepping stone, not a life sentence. 😂 The goal isn’t to choose between passion OR money. It’s to find the best combination of what you’re good at + what you enjoy + what people will pay you for.
