Cashier – Cashbuild

Job Description

Responsible for processing customer payments accurately, handling cash securely, maintaining transaction records, and providing friendly, efficient customer service. Ensures all goods are correctly scanned and paid for before leaving the store.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric) or at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
Good communication skills in English and the dominant local language.
Basic mathematical and calculation skills.
Strong administrative and organisational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

Process customer transactions and payments accurately.
Handle cash, floats, petty cash, and daily takings responsibly.
Ensure correct pricing, payment methods, change, and cash-ups.
Complete, sign, and file relevant cashier documentation.
Provide fast, friendly, and professional customer service.
Follow company procedures, dress code, safety standards, and security requirements.
Report discrepancies to the Store Manager.
Maintain accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality when handling transactions.
